Hay Festival

Cap & Share will be represented at the Hay International Festival of Literature in May/June in Hay on Wye. Brian Davey will be joined by the economist Molly Scott Cato for a discussion chaired by Jane Davidson on May 31. (See the Hay Festival website).

Sharing for Survival

This book features essays by several authors connected with Cap and Share, and looks in detail at many of the questions which arise in looking at how Cap & Share would work in practice in developing countries. It also looks at links with other policies and wider legal and regulatory frameorks.

S4S cover

The book is being published in April 2012 by Feata in Ireland, and distributed by Green Books in the UK. It will be available on Amazon.co.uk shortly. There is a website dedicated to the book here.

UNEP

Cap and Share, along with other possible ways of achieving lower carbon emissions, is to be evaluated by UNEP (the United Nations Environmental Programme), which has commissioned WRI (the World Resources Institute) to undertake the analysis.

We are continuing to campaign on various fronts, to talk to representatives from government, policymakers, other NGOs and academic groups, and are working on ways of reaching a more general audience.
